Safari Overview

Kidepo Valley National Park Uganda is located in the extreme North of the country bordering with Sudan and Kenya, Kidepo Valley National Park covers an area of 1,344 square kilometers. Due to its remote location this park is less visited, but it has the most spectacular scenery of mountains and vast savannah landscapes.

The park is home to the Karamojong pastoralists. Animal species found in the region include; giraffe, ostrich, elephant, cheetah, leopard, kudu, zebra, buffalo, amongest others. It has a profusion of big game and hosts over 77 mammal species as well as around 475 bird species.

During the dry season, the only permanent water in the park is found in wetlands and remnant pools in the broad Narus Valley near Apoka. These seasonal oases, combined with the open, savannah terrain, make the Narus Valley the park’s prime game viewing location.
