Kidepo Valley National Park Uganda is located in the extreme North of the country bordering with Sudan and Kenya, Kidepo Valley National Park covers an area of 1,344 square kilometers. Due to its remote location this park is less visited, but it has the most spectacular scenery of mountains and vast savannah landscapes.
The park is home to the Karamojong pastoralists. Animal species found in the region include; giraffe, ostrich, elephant, cheetah, leopard, kudu, zebra, buffalo, amongest others. It has a profusion of big game and hosts over 77 mammal species as well as around 475 bird species.
During the dry season, the only permanent water in the park is found in wetlands and remnant pools in the broad Narus Valley near Apoka. These seasonal oases, combined with the open, savannah terrain, make the Narus Valley the park’s prime game viewing location.
Your journey to this world famous national park will begin after an early morning breakfast. You will make a stopover in Gulu town for lunch and later on continue with your journey to the park where you will arrive in the evening and check into the hotel, enjoy your dinner and overnight stay.

After an early morning breakfast, you will depart for a morning game drive towards Kanangorok Hot Spring. At this spot, a great diversity of animal species as well as birds can be seen. At the same spot, the Savannah grass land which varies much in structure and com-position can be seen at a distance.
In the afternoon you will enjoy a delicious lunch, relax and then visit the Lorokul Cultural Group and explore the fascinating ancient culture of the Karamojong, visit the traditional homesteads Manyatta of the Karamojong to sample local dishes and hear stories of this remote tribe and probably kraals to see traditional costumes, stools, jewelry. After interacting with the locals and learning a few things from them, you will drive back to your lodge for dinner and overnight
